Ruth remains on top

England’s James Ruth continues to hold his 3 shot lead after round 2 of the Altorreal Futures Open in Murica, Spain. Ruth had most of the competition in shock as he was in the second group out in the morning draw and opened with a 6 under front nine! However the wind picked up slightly and made scoring more difficult for the field. Ruth slipped slightly on the back nine ending with a double bogey on 18 after hitting an iron that was knocked down by the gusting wind and ended up in the water. Ruth still  managed a fine 68 and maintains his lead going into the final round. He is chased by two Danes, Daniel Lokke  3 shots back in second place at -9 and Lasse Jensen who is at -7 as well as Englishmen Danny Wardrop also at -7. Low round of the day was a 65 shot by Matthew Southgate.
