Busby finishes the Hi5 Pro Winter Tour in Style

James Busby from England finished his Hi5 Winter Tour series in style with a closing -3 ( 69 ) to win the ” Hi5 Pro Tour Altorrreal Open ” by 3 shots . James started the day with a 3 shot lead over Robert Svenson from Sweden and Senior David James representing Scotland ,  as all three players closed with respective rounds of 69 he maintained his 3 shot overnight lead to claim the title .
James said that he had a great week on the greens that were in great shape . Putting was the Key to his victory he explained afterwards. Top lady once again this week was Mari Suursalu representing Estonia who now moves onto play in the Ladies European Access Tour in France .
The Tour and its staff would like to thank all the players for their valued support once again on tour this winter. The tour is on a steady growth curve and this is , , of course due to all the players support.
Also a huge thanks also goes to all the venues from this years Tour that made us feel so welcome here in sunny Spain.
Work is already in process to put together this years November Pre PQ 2 Events and next years calender is already looking as the best ever.

Busby doubles lead going into the Final Round

 
James Busby shot another fine 71 today during the second round of the Hi5 Pro Tour Altorreal Open. He will start the final round with a three shot lead over  David James (Scotland) and local pro Robert Svensson  (Sweden) both tied in second place after 36 holes. Top Lady in the Field through 36 holes is Mari Suursalu representing Estonia.
 
With only 4 shots seperating the top 4 players Thursdays final round will be closely contested .
 
FAvourable scoring conditions are forecast for the final round of this years Hi5 Pro Winter Tour Series .

James Busby on the Bubble at AlTorreal Open

 
James Busby continued his fine form from the weekend , where he won the Pre Tournament Pro Am confortably with his team of 3 Amateurs, by setting the pace in round one of the Hi5 Pro Tour AlTorreal Open staged in Murcia , Spain. He was the only player in the field to shoot below par in tricky scoring conditions over the Dave Thomas designed course .
 
James posted a 1 under par 71 to take a 2 shot lead over Thordur Gissurarson from Iceland into the second rounds play.
 
The Hi5 Pro Tour must congratulate all the AlTorreal team for the great condition of the course and once again for its warm welcome shown to all the staff and Hi5 Pro Tour players .
 
Play continues tomorrow from tee 1 at 0900 h.

Desert Golf Academy opens in Canada

Wayne Hachey, co founder of the Hi5 Pro Tour will open the new Desert Golf Academy in Osoyoos B.C. Canada in April, 2011. The Desert Golf Academy will feature state of the art golf teaching equipment and will provide golf students Hachey’s accumulative knowledge of top European tour players over the past 15 years. Sluiter “blows away” the field

Sluiter blows away the field to win in The Hi5 Pro Tour El Planteo Open .
 
European Tour player Tim Sluiter showed his class by shooting a superb closing round of 63 to secure the ” Hi5 Pro Tour El Planteo Open “  in Alicante,  Spain . It was comprised of 33 shots on the front nine and only 30 shots to complete the back nine leaving Tim on a total of – 11 for the event . This was even more impressive as he played in strong winds coming down the stretch . The round consisted of 9 straight birdies with no dropped shots appearing on the score card.
 
Putting up a superb challenge to Tim this week was , Hooters states player , Chris Paisley from England closing with a final round 71 to finish 3 shots off the mark on -8 .
 
Top senior was Mus Deboub representing Algeria who shot the lowest round on day 2 with a 70 two under par.
 
Top Lady this week was Mari Suursalu from Estonio looking to kick start her playing season in sunny Spain.
 
Next week we finish this years winter tour at the ” Club de Golf Altorreal ” where , we are sure , some more fine Golf will be on show.

El Planteo Pro’s and Am’s take route 66 to lead

Chris Paisley from England and Amateur Cedric Van Wassenhove representing Belgium opened the Hi5 Pro Tour El Planteo Open with respective 66’s to lead the tournament after day 1.

Superb weather in Alicante , Spain saw the players enjoying a welcome break from the cold weather in Northern Europe.

Sharing joint 3rd spot on – 3 are Icelands Vidar Gissurarson and European Tour player Tim Sluiter from the Netherlands .

Scoring conditions look favourable once again tomorrow for round 2 which will commence at 0900 H from tee 1 .
