Roumain Wattel the newly turned professional from France who recently won on the  European Challenge Tour in France during September along with Scotland’s Elliot Saltmann both share the lead at Condado after the 36 hole mark. Both players are currently at -6 but only hold a narrow 2 shot margin over European Tour player Eirik Tage Johansen from Norway and Elliot’s younger brother Lloyd who also plays on the Challenge Tour. The top international field had somewhat of a golf marathon today as Round 1 was not completed yesterday due to the strong winds that swept across Condado and caused the event to be suspended. However favorable conditions allowed the entire field to complete all 36 holes on time today. The final round commences tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
