Portuguese man of war triumphs in Spain
The final day of the Hi5 Pro Tour Altorreal Open was played in perfect scoring conditions as the field contested for the 25,000 € prize fund .
Tiago Cruz representing Portugal finally came through to win the title with a fine closing round of 68 . Tiago closed out the title with a string of 4 birdies back to back , running from the 11th hole through to the 14th hole leaving him with an impressive closing score of
-15 for the thre rounds.
Tiago , did not however , have a walk in the park as he was pushed to the post on the back nine by Scotsman Lloyd Saltman . Lloyd with birdies on 11, 12 and 16 made Tiago work for the title and took the tournament down to the 54th hole to be decided . In third place was Ricardo Santos also representing Portugal finishing on -11 . Top amateur with an impressive pair of 67′s in the opening two rounds was Mark Suursalu from Estonia .
